Well, it’s that time of year again – people are killing each other at Walmart, Christmas music is officially real effin annoying, and bloggers are telling everyone what they should’ve been listening to this year. We figured why should we be any different at Blendetta? So, I’ve compiled a list of my five favorite albums of the year and recruited Blendetta guest blogger StevO (of StevO’s Movie Preview fame) to provide another opinion on what made music worthwhile this year. Remember growing up as a girl in middle school or high school and you’d have those slumber parties with all of your bestest girl friends? You’d all sit around in the living room, giggling about the cute boys in your school and hating on the ugly girl in school. All having your little girl talk….well this is about a whole other kind of Girl Talk. His name is Greg Gillis, and he’s coming for you!

Gillis is a mash-up DJ, throwing everything you’ve ever heard in your life into one big melting pot of hipster dancey goodness. And footage of his live shows makes one wish they were at that party, acting crazy like a fool. But he is doing a tour this fall, so try to catch one of his shows to catch what all the girls talk about.

His work consists of four albums including new release, “Feed The Animals”, which can only be found here on his website for a “name your own price” deal. An actual cd release will arrive later this year. Still don’t believe the hype? Then hit up his myspace or some rocking YouTube clips:
