TV Shows That You Aren't Watching

Video Yearbook (FUSE, Mon-Fri 4:00pm)
I remember when I was in high school complaining about how MTV didn’t show videos anymore. Thing is, back in the 90s they actually did show some videos — I mean, we all remember seeing clips like Cypress Hill’s “Insane in the Brain” and Smashing Pumpkins’ “Tonight Tonight.” Well, now that MTV actually doesn’t show videos at all, you can catch your old favorites on FUSE’s Video Yearbook. A particularly fun show because (more…)

Video of the Week

Friday, October 17th, 2008

Every week from now on, we here at Blendetta will be posting a video of the week. This week’s video is from Ellen. The setup: Ellen sends Dennis Quaid into a Starbucks with an earpiece and a hidden camera. Dennis has to say and do whatever Ellen tells him to, and hilarity ensues:

Musical Transformers

Most musical artists change somewhat throughout their careers. (Unless, of course, you’re AC/DC.) I just knew that I was going to be possessed because I had played with an Ouija board, just like Regan did in the movie. It also didn’t help that my mom explained that the movie was based on a true story. The possession took place right here in Maryland, in Mt. Rainier, to a little boy named Robbie. She claimed to have visited the house on Bunker Hill Road where the child lived. She told me that the house still had an eerie feeling. It’s been over 20 years since the first time I’ve watched this movie and it still scares the shyte out of my every time I see it. I’m not sure that I’ve ever watched it all of the way through without closing my eyes or turning my head for at least a second or two.

Five Things I Hate About YouTube

Camera phone video sucks

There’s things we all love about YouTube — old tv shows, music videos, people getting kicked in the balls. However, I’ve noticed it’s become increasingly hard to find anything you’re looking for, since it’s been infested with a never-ending stream of crap that absolutely no one is looking for. Let’s take a minute to talk about some of that crap…

Slide-effin-Shows

When I click on something that says “The Comic Genius of Will Ferrell,” I’m not expecting to see a slideshow of pictures of the comedian with a HIM song as accompaniment. That in no way shows me the comic genius of Will Ferrell. It shows me that you have a weird obsession with white guys with fro hair, and possibly the dude from HIM. If you’re gonna do this, at least label it correctly. Which leads me to my next annoyance… (more…)
